The Tomahawk CLASSIC Side Console offers the same quality build and performance as the OFFSHORE with SeaStar XTREME™ cable steering (580-Hydraulic), quality Marine Grade Plywood flooring dipped and carpeted for longevity and four (4) seat positions. The front casting deck, which can be optioned to your preferred height, has a front storage box providing good under floor storage. Choose from a large range of options including the Formosa Marine designed heavy duty bait board and bait tank, scuppers, kill tank, transom door and electric motor mount to name a few. The CLASSIC Side Console has the Quality, Safety and Performance to venture into open waters with the Formosa Marine plate boat construction, the V2 Hull, Marine Grade Aluminium Plate, foam filled hull with great stability. The V2 HULL has a sharper deadrise giving a softer ride, an improved trim range and increased performance, extra floor structure for a solid under-footing and side extrusions to hide fuel lines and wires for a clean interior. Available in five (5) sizes, the CLASSIC Centre Console has 4mm sides and bottoms. NEW V2 HULL
The latest advancement in hull design, the V2 Hull offers enhanced performance and strength, while maintaining and taking advantage of Formosa Marine’s acclaimed sharp nose line, deep hull and wide beam. The V2 Hull advances and modernises the boats through the following enhancements:
SHARPER DEADRISE: A sharper, more defined deadrise provides greater trim range, enhanced tracking, softer ride and a quick response out of the hole.
UNDER FLOOR CELL DESIGN: Increased floor rigidity using an under floor lock cell design, gives the floor more structural reinforcement.
INCREASED STORAGE: Extra side pockets for more storage and additional hull strength.
HULL STRENGTH UPGRADE: From size 455 and over, all Formosa Marine built hulls now feature 4mm sides with no pressings as standard.
While an increase to the deadrise usually results in compromising a boat’s design, the new V2 Hull sees no change to beam width, no effect to the renown stability and most importantly still allows for a true self draining deck with scuppers on the OFFSHORE models; a bilge pump is not required to drain the deck. Safety is still paramount with foam filled hulls and bilge pump installed in the hull.
Get closer to the water with the FORMOSA MARINE ’Fastback’ Transom is a practical and stylish design that operates as a great dive platform for easy access to the water and motor bay. Fitted with an accompanying heavy duty dive ladder on all boats and non slip tread mats as standard; entering the boat and access to the water and motor is a breeze.
DEEP SIDES, WIDE BEAM
A FORMOSA MARINE built hull is renowned for its generous freeboard height, wide beam and ergonomic layout making you feel like you are in a much larger boat! Combined with the sharper deadrise of the V2 Hull and reverse chine, a Formosa Marine boat gives you more stability and a smoother, drier ride in all boating conditions.
TRANSOM STORAGE SHELF
The transom holds a large storage shelf giving plenty of room for holding twin batteries. The transom shelf provides extra off the floor storage for a deck wash kit, oil tank, all bait hosing or for installation of an optional recessed bait tank. It allows room for a transom door to be fitted if required on the CLASSIC models. A transom door comes standard on the OFFSHORE.
REVERSE CHINE HULL
With a 120mm wide reverse chine, the FORMOSA MARINE hull naturally offers great on-board stability at rest. There is no need to install trim tabs. Along with FORMOSA MARINE’s plate boat construction, their boats offer excellent tracking performance in tight turns, a smoother ride in choppy conditions and a quick response out of the hole.
RAISED SHEER & CHINE LINE
With not only a sportier look, the raised sheer line provides protection from large swell keeping a drier deck and also allowing the massive internal space and deeper sides FORMOSA MARINE is known for. The distinctive curved chine line has become FORMOSA MARINE’s ‘hallmark’ well noted on the water.
PLATE BOAT CONSTRUCTION
FORMOSA MARINE uses 4mm Marine Grade Aluminium side sheets which do not require pressings to strengthen. Box style side ribs act as support and house wiring and tubing internally to keep your deck clean and free of obstructions. The bottom sheets consist of longitudinal structures running the full length of the boat with lateral cross structure, all fully welded to the hull creating massive strength and a solid feel underfoot when underway. Be assured of a strong hull built to withstand open water conditions and provide many years of trouble free boating.
FULLY WELDED SIDE DECKS
The side decks and gunwales on a Formosa Marine hull are fully welded and not stitched, offering greater rigidity and strength. The welded side decks are easy to clean and give better paint longevity. You will notice on a Formosa the welding is not sanded smooth and bogged, keeping the full strength you expect with a fully welded plate boat. Perfect for handling the Australian environment, on water and on a trailer.
NEW ALI BOWROLLER
Designed by Formosa Marine for the V2 Hulls, this new aluminium Bowroller has been engineered to suit manual deployment and/or drum winches. The Bowroller is fully welded to the nose sheet and also welded to the 32mm grab rails for extra strength and a superior design. The Bowroller protrudes sufficiently to allow self-gravity release.
Enjoy the benefits of solo deploying and retrieving at the boat ramp. After working closely with major trailer brands, Redco and Dunbier, the Formosa Marine designed Tow-Catch™ is a hook and eye design welded to the keel, a standard feature on all boats that gives you the option to install a quick release boat catch onto a suitable trailer. HEAVY DUTY DIVE LADDER
Whether boarding or disembarking, the FORMOSA MARINE designed and manufactured heavy duty aluminium ladder provides total stability underfoot at all times. FORMOSA MARINE have been producing this heavy duty dive ladder since 2009 and is proving to be the best on the market and so they install one on every boat, unless not required. An internal grab rail inboard of the ladder, is a standard feature on all boats with a transom door.
FORMOSA OFFSHORE floors are constructed out of 4mm aluminium and finished off with marine grade carpet. On the CLASSIC models, FORMOSA MARINE uses BS1088 Marine Grade plywood, pre dipped in an anti-fungal agent and finished off with Marine Grade carpet. FORMOSA MARINE don’t skimp on quality to save costs, so you will be hard pressed to find the same quality of plywood floor in other boat brands. All Tomahawk hulls are constructed from superior materials to ensure performance and longevity.
SeaStar Solutions® Steering Systems are installed as standard to both the Tomahawk and SEA-ROD brands. The OFFSHORE models come with the premium SeaStar Hydraulic Steering System. CLASSIC models have recently been upgraded to the new high performance XTREME™ steering cable, reducing cable friction improving performance, runs smoother for longer and provides precision control.
